"I never knew my father," Lusa growled, sitting up on the lion's chest. "But from what my mother told me about him, he wasn't suited to raising pups. Too aggressive and willing to break anything's neck."

"It seems many fathers end up that way. that's what a difficult life does to some" growled Nightbane with a tone of sadness...

"That's sad," Lusa yipped. "I thought my father was the only one who was like that...guess I was wrong."

"Unfortunately" growled Nightbane. "But why talk about such sad topics?" he added as he pressed the pup back into his mane with his paws...

"The dark! It's back!" Lusa squeaked as she was forced back into the sea of fur. She started trying to find another way out, wriggling her way through the thick fur.

Tyretros was heading away from the group, surprised and slightly frightened at what he just saw. Nightbane turned soft...Maybe it was a good thing we went our separate ways... he thought, heading carefully down the rocky ledges, heading toward the jungle below...

Nightbane let the pup sit in his mane for a while before deciding to get up. he rolled back onto his stomach, the pup falling out of the massive mane of the Lion. "I'm going for a walk, maybe a hunt. either of you want to join in?" he growled...

"I'll come!" Lusa yipped, eager to get out of the stuffy cave. Night, on the other hand, shook her head. "You sure? I won't bring anything back if we catch something!" Lusa growled. Again, Night shook her head. "It's alright, little one...I can go for longer without eating than you can. I'm used to it," the agult growled.

Nightbane nodded, heading out into the jungle, his senses sharp for a trace of prey...which, looking at his size, pretty much meant anything and everything he could get his claws on...

Lusa bounced after Nightbane, excited to see how a lion hunted. Was it anything like the way Night just ran her prey to the ground?

Blood Scar poistioned himself at the river's edge, perfectly covered in the water below, he backed up as the animals started to move inward. The waterbuffalo shoved each other through, all trying to get their share at a drink. Patience..wait for the perfect time to strike. Any earlier and the herd would leave. The massive Salt Water Croc waited as one began to approach his poistion, none of them aware..

Closer and closer the water buffalo came sloer..the massive crocodile prepared himself to strike as he slowly opened his jaws. Poised to strike and deliver the death..

Nightbane crept through the jungle, his nose picking up the smell of elephants....it would be risky, but if there was a youngster among them, he could probably kill it before the others got to it, meaning a decent meal...

Exploding out of the water, Blood Scar sank his powerful jaws on the throat of the water buffalo. The paniced herd began to flee in all directions, most heading away from the water but it happened so quick, they all just wanted to get away. The massive Salt Water Croc began to drag the buffalo under the water, to drown it. It tried to struggle but the powerful the jaws kept in its place. Then using a signature movie..Blood Scar used the Death Roll to keep the Water Buffalo unbalanced as it attempted to escape. Soon its life left it as the powerful pressure from the jaws combined with the ability to not breath in the water. Finally being able to get a meal..Blood Scar used the Death Roll again to tear up the carcess as he began to eat the large chunks of meat..other crocs were bound to arrive..

Lusa kept following the lion, excited by the scents that flooded into her nose. But as she ran through a pile of dead leaves, they crackled noisily. The young pup jumped back in surprise, not knowing what had just happened.

Nightbane held the pup down with a paw as the elephants started trumpeting, wondering what had made the noise. they soon calmed down however, assuming it was a monkey or something. "First rule of hunting...keep quiet" Nightbane hissed quietly, as he let go and started walking forward, placing his steps carefully. he walked on, careful not to make too much noise, as his target finally came into view...a small herd of elephants sitting in a river nearby, bathing. as he had hoped, there was a young one among them. barely larger than Night was. and it was out of the water, a fair distance from the others, plucking fruit from the ground around one of the trees. he carefully crept towards the youngster, trying his best not to make any noise. "Second rule of hunting.....be QUICK" he snarled as he suddenly lunged out, having felt he was near enough, the young elephant being startled as Nightbane ran out and threw himself at it after swiftly closing the small gap between him and his prey, latching his claws on it's tough hide as he twisted himself to it's neck, biting hard as it trumpeted to it's family, it's breath swiftly being stopped as it suffocated, the herd struggling to wade out of the river to save the youngster, Nightbane ripping it's throat out with a vicious jerk, blood spilling from it's neck as it fell to the ground, wriggling as it tried to get up and get to it's family. soon it had lost it's ability to move. Nightbane eyed the elephants, who seemed to lose their determination to help the youngster, knowing it was dead. they still tried to get to it, but at a much slower pace, knowing it was too late to help it. Nightbane dragged the near-dead elephant into the bushes, dropping it after having pulled it away far enough to make the elephants give up. "Third rule of hunting...keep your prey away from anyone who might be watching, it's herd included" he growled...

Lusa cocked her head and nodded, trying to keep Nightbane's words in her mind. Though, because she was still just a pup, she'd find it just a little bit more difficult to concentrate than the lion did.
