JoJo's head began to pound as he tried to make sense of it all. In the end he decided to forget it all. "Jeeze, being a dog in a human's world is one raw deal..." He growled as he brushed past the mutant's legs, walking down the hall...

After a short silence, Ira said, "If you need me, I'll be in the library." Getting some peace and quiet...reading...and recovering from that headache, she thought, starting for the stairs. She took them two at a time as always, and made a sharp turn down the short hallway right after she reached the bottom. Opening the door at the end of the hall and entering the room, she was welcomed by the complete silence and the curious sense of isolation from the rest of the world. She tugged the window curtains open and pulled a book from a nearby shelf. A bookmark was stuck between the pages, about halfway through. One of the good things about having a hidden inner bookworm, she thought. You always have something to do when things get boring. Opening to the bookmarked page and setting the bookmark aside, Ira settled on the window seat, leaning back and getting comfortable.

Yoruichi scuffed the carpet with one foot over and over, staring at her crossed arms without really seeing them. Now they had more pieces of the puzzle, but...still not enough to finish it. And a few that didn't seem to fit into place at all. It was maddening...and she got the feeling that there was more to what happened to Ira's parents than just "they were murdered." Even though she'd said it without much prodding, Ira's expression when she'd spoken of it...there had been that flash of something in her eyes. Yoruichi had seen it before - when they'd met. Like light glinting off a knife's blade. Something that she instinctively interpreted as a danger sign - almost a nonverbal warning. As if Ira were mentally saying, Back off. You're near dangerous territory.

Several thumps sounded off from the far end of the library. Some books toppled out of their row and fell down to the floor. The ink hound looked at the pile with wide eyes, with a tendril wrapped around one large book that had been wedged into the row. The tendril still held the book as if it was taking it off. After a moment, the tendril pushed the book back into place and several others formed to put back the others. "Such objects are so trivial...its a wonder how humans find uses for them" JoJo thought, having gone back to the library after he left the discussion before...

Ira looked up, distracted from the book and somewhat irritated that she couldn't settle down without something happening. She stuck her bookmark between the pages, but didn't close her book just yet. "You may as well come out," she said in normal tones, turning her head towards where the sound had come from. "I know you're there."

The dog let out a loud "Grrr" which was followed by a bark. The tendrils hoisted the books back into place, though the arrangement was lacking. Pages pointed outwards instead of bindings, and some books were slanted and leaning on one another, but the dog, happy with his work, began weaving through the book cases...

Ira sighed quietly, looking back down at the pages with a shake of her head. "Should have guessed," she muttered, trying to relax as she went back to reading.

A gleaming nose poked out from behind a book case, followed by the rest of the dog's body. He walked into the open, looking towards the window where the demon sat. She was holding a book, the reason for this escaped the hound. He approached slowly, and when he was close enough reered onto hind paws, balancing by putting one fore paw on Ira's shoulder. He peered down at the book, tapping the page with his free hand, his way of asking for explanation...

"It's a murder mystery," Ira said absently, not really looking up. Amber eyes flicked towards Jojo and then back to the page. "You seem smarter than the average everyday dog. Ever seen shows about homicide cases?"

"....What the dog-biscuit is a homocide..." JoJo thought, eyeing the book. His mind switched from the strange symbols on the pages to the strange word. There were TV shows about them? He'd look at TV with his old owners, sadly not understanding a thing. It was all gibberish. When he watched TV at Blake's home, atleast he could understand what was being said... didnt mean he comprehended though. JoJo let out a low whimper to say no, and perked his floppy ears up to listen to what the mutant would say

"Somebody gets killed," Ira started to explain, "and when the body is found, there are people who make a living figuring out the who, what, where, when, and why. Who did it, what was the weapon, where was the crime committed, when did the murder take place...and why did it happen." She stopped for a second to turn the page. "Homicide detectives. A murder mystery novel is pretty much the same thing on paper - except with more panic as people scramble around, clueless, trying to figure everything out before someone else gets hurt or killed. And normally, the killer is the one you'd least expect - a character who was only briefly mentioned, or one who was never spoken of at all, but who was described as a random stranger."

"If they follow a format...how exactly...are they mysteries" JoJo growled, shaking his head. "You just pin it on the person you least expect" He pushed off of Ira, growling "Humans confuse me"
Falling back on all four's, the dog trotted towards the door, tail wagging. The carefree life of a dog was bliss compared to the realitty around him...

With a shake of the head, Ira put the dog out of her mind, humming quietly as she read. Her foot tapped to the rhythm of the song, the young demon relaxing more and more with every minute that she spent in her library - which was no surprise. The room had a way of calming her even when she was feeling violent.

Gaara glanced at Yoruichi after several moments of silence, saying "You look troubled. is something on your mind?"...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

Yoruichi looked up, brushing a lock of her dark hair out of her face with a bit of impatience. It's getting too long again...gonna have to cut it soon, she thought absently. "A lot is on my mind," she said.

"Ira's visions, for one thing," Yoruichi said, looking back down. "What happened to her parents for another...she told me a bit, but I get the feeling that there's more to it."

JoJo jogged down the hallway and took the stairs again. He looked about the place as he walked, looking for a TV. Watching the multi colored box seemed more appealing than running around mindlessly. If only he could read the symbols on the remote though...

"How so?" asked Gaara calmly, sounding interested, but casual and even fairly laid back about it...

"She got this look after she told me," she murmured. "It made the wolf...uneasy. Like she was suddenly dangerous." The wolf had growled and started to pace restlessly, and only once Ira had seemed a bit more normal had it settled back down.

"The wolf?" asked Gaara, not quite following what Yoru meant...
