They wish to harm you. Shall I teach them the error of their ways? the demonic voice of the Sentinel emits in the taskmaster's mind, who covers his face with his palm. "Fine. Sure. But don't kill them. Or maim them. Or break any major bones." the overseer responds, hoping to preserve the relationship with the village while still teaching these degenerates a lesson. Placing the taskmaster on a high branch, Lucifron looks at the other goblin already in his grasp, before hurling it at its brethren, knocking them all to the ground. Stomping back out into the clearing to meet them, the Sentinel makes a gesture of cracking his knuckles, though such a thing is impossible. Would you still like to pursue your goals, simpletons? Or are you suicidal as well as stupid? Lucifron's chilling voice sounds in the minds of all three grounded goblins, the Sentinel standing between them and the taskmaster, who watches from his perch.

Bubba and Lubba back off, knowing they can do little to the monstrous machine. Shubba however, is too stupid to realize the danger of the situation and lunges straight towards the beast, shortsword/knife in hand.....

"Shubba, ya idiot! Ya gonn' get killed!" Lubba says.

Kubba hides in the bushes nearby his brothers, seeing the monstrous thing and his brothers near it......

Shezz skids to a stop just past the bush Kubba hid at, watching as Shezz flew at the Sentinal, some shock within his facial expression...

With one sweep of his hand, Lucifron smacks the goblin away, sending it flying, the creature landing 10 feet away on its back. Unwise. was all the Sentinel said, turning to face the downed goblin.

Kubba, not willing to let his brother get hurt, emerges next to Shezz. "W-wait!" Kubba shouts. "Hurt shubba you will not no more! Control himself he cannot!" Bubba and Lubba get ahold of Shubba, who, even with his animal like intelligence, seems to be willnig to back down now......

Bold words coming from a worm. Lucifron replies, stopping in front of Kubba, towering over the goblin. "Ok Lucy I think they get the point." the taskmaster yelled from his perch, the Sentinel staring at the goblin in front of him for a few moments before turning away, stomping back over to the tree. Disappointing. Lucifron said as he grasped the overseer-a bit too tight-before lowering him to the ground. "Sorry to ruin the fun, big guy, but we gotta maintain relations ya know?" the taskmaster said, looking toward the other goblins. "Well...we'll be going now. Hopefully the next time we meet it will be more civil." he says with a smirk, heading off after the Sentinel, who is already stomping away from the scene...

Kubba bows. "Forgive my brothers you must. Violent and barbaric they can be," he says. Suddenly, Bubba grabs Kubba by the ears. "Barbaric, ya say, huh? Well, let's what da hamma's gotta say 'bout dat......" Bubba begisn to drag Kubba back home, with Lubba and the wounded Shubba following. "Well..... night of the good variety, Shezz and goblin of strange variety," Kubba says. "Shaddup, half-pint!" Lubba says. "Ya already angered Bubba fer ya poor use o' words!" Shubba simply whimpers like a dog, holding his chest..........

Shezz watches the whole scene, but the small goblin tried doing nothing, basically being nearly the weakest and smallest of the group at the moment as he seemed to follow behind them...

Serenity fell into a deep sleep. Her breathing become more relaxed. Revion stared at her sleeping form and shook his head. What a silly filly, he thought and let out a cross between a heartfelt laugh and a nicker. His ears twitched and his tail flicked back and forth in boredom. He faintly wondered about traveling, and if he should leave the comfort of the herd in search of adventure and new things in the vast, unknown world. I should take her along, and show her the world too. Maybe the elder unicorns are wrong. Maybe the world is not such a bad place, he thought. He nudged the filly lightly, wanting to wake her up. Maybe now was the time to leave this valley in search of bigger, better things in life? "Come on you, wake up," he cooed gently to the napping equine.

"Wha? What is it, Revion," Serenity was a little annoyed that Revion woke her from her nap, but she got up and went straight into listening mode. "What do you have crawling up your hoof now?" She snorted, waiting for his answer.

"Let's leave this place now," he nickered in a whisper. "It is not like anybody will notice. The others are too busy doing their own things. Come on, just an adventure, filly." He nudged her again. "It will be the two of us, exploring the world together! Just think of the endless possibilities."

Serenity was quite surprised by his forwardness. "Don't you think it is too soon to leave the herd, just like that? What will the others think? You don't even know what's out there, Revion."

"Isn't that the point, Serenity? To find out what exactly is out there? You know, they can not stay in this valley forever." He snorted and stomped his hoof. "Let us go, come on. Live a little! It is about time you and I start seeing more of this world anyway."

"Well I don't know..." She glanced back at the herd. In a way, she knew Revion was right. Then again, this was all the two had ever known! How could they leave such a place? "I guess....I guess we can try," she finally admitted, lowering her head. "You know, you are quite stubborn!" She pulled his mane lightly.

"Ah well, that is what you get," he replied lightly. He looked around, thinking about the direction they should go in. "We should gradually distance ourselves from the others. We are already at a fair distance. Come on, just a few steps more." He started trotting away from the filly. "Well, come on," he said without stopping.

I can not believe I am going along with his crazy plan, Serenity thought as she picked up a trotting place, following Revion. She tried not to look back at the herd, and hoped that they would not notice them. Unlike Revion, she had a doubt that the herd would not notice. Why wouldn't they notice two unicorns leaving the valley?

Revion glanced behind him, and was somewhat relieved that the filly decided to follow him. He thought this would be a great learning experience for the both of them. Finally, it is all going to happen, he thought with glee.

"You have an entire kingdom and you can't afford to maintain a small population of Orochi?" growled Septimus curiously, though he was already looking into his own books for additional facts, hoping he'd find something in the particularly thick Monsters of Aster book...

"Well, if Orochis didn't require ludicrous ammounts of food to eat just to avoid starvation, then yes, we could substain a small population of them here." Dione responded. "Not only that, but they are very territorial, and will drive out any other predatory creatures in the area, especially dragons, or so it says here. That must have been why the one in the collusium has such a dislike toward you. They really hate competition, and due to their hunting behavior, they can't afford to compete with other carnivores..."

Khorne, unable to find anything of interest here, heads back to his cave to wait out the next few hours before he heads to the village to claim his prize.......

Bubba tosses Kubba inside of the home, Lubba heading upstairs with the wounded Shubba. "Alrigh' boy, what ya doin' out dere followin' us?" Bubba asks. "N-nothing of importance, brother," Kubba replies. "Really now?" Bubba says. "Well, mista hamma's got sometin' a wee bit differn' ta say 'bout dat...." Bubba pulls out a good sized work hammer, raising it over Kubba's hand. "W-wait!" Kubba says. "Followed you I did because trouble thought were in very much of!" Bubba lowers the hammer. "Maybe we were, but ya ta stay hea when the bro's an' I are out. Got it?!" Kubba nods fervently. "Good. Now get back ta bed! I don' wanna see no more o' ya face this evenin'!" Kubba scrables towards the basement, and Bubba heads up stairs......

the Dragon grunted. "As far as i know, i'm the first Dragon to come by here in a long time. and as for food...i can't imagine an Orochi would need much more food than anything else that size...say...comparable to double the food of an elephant, for example....or a small group of elephants. if it requires so much food, how was that one being fed? the impression i was getting was that most of the people there had never seen it before" growled Septimus...

"THat's just it that confuses me." Dione said, her eyebrows raised. "'It syas in this book that most orochis require roughly 15,000 pounds of food a day to sustain their hunger. Even with a small population of Orochis, they'd quickly devour most of the natural fauna here. But the orochi my father obtained is, for some reason, diffrent. it only required 3 or so cows a day to be substained. I myself don't know why, though.... might be diffrent metabolism..."

"Could be age...or growth period. growing bodies tend to require a lot more food than grown ones. environment could also have something to do with it. Unless that entrance to the Colosseum leads to the forests or mountains outside the city, chances are your Orochi doesn't get as much exercise as it would normally. that in turn means it probably spends a lot of time sleeping. and depending on how much you feed it, perhaps it does what bears and snakes do in the winter....short term hibernation. sleeping to conserve energy, perhaps? a lot of possible reasons" rumbled the Dragon as he started running through the various facts he had at his disposal to try and figure out what caused this Orochi to be different...

OOC: Won't be able to post again until roughly 5:00 (Pacific Time)

"Yeah... that could be..." Dione stated, her eyelids starting to flutter from bordness, until something else caught her eye, something in the page detailing the Orochi. she lifted the book up, before reading the passage to herself. 'Apparently, it seems as if there were actually TWO subspecies of orochi. One was the standard mega-glutton. and as for the other..."

The two unicorns were a good fair distance from the valley now. Revion halted, and looked back. When he no longer saw the herd, he sighed in relief. "Finally, I am out of there," he murmured. He happily gazed at Serenity. "We did it...I can not believe we are out of there!" The stallion pranced around, proud, and extremely glad to be out of that valley.

Serenity sighed and shook her head at Revion's happiness. "Yes, good for us," she quietly said. "You seem all joyful about it. You are a strange one." She snorted and trotted past the prancing equine. "It is better that we keep moving, Revion. The farther, the better, I guess."

Revion twitched his ears at Serenity's voice. She sounded rather upset. "Oi, you should be happy too, dear one. You had the choice of staying with the herd, and yet you chose to go with me."

"What do you mean I had a choice?" She pinned her ears back in anger. "You practically begged me to go with you." She flicked her tail angrily at the stallion. "I am going to miss the herd, and my family. I only did this because you begged me, like a scared colt."

Revion let out what sounded like a grunt. "Still, you could have said no. He trotted in front of her, and stopped to face her. "Don't be angry, Serenity. You should not be angry at me. After all-"

The filly nudged Revion roughly. "Just, shut it," she whinnied. "Let us just continue on. You, be quiet for the rest of the day, please." She burst past him in a gallop, her ears pinned farther back against her head.

The black unicorn charged after Serenity. "Hey, slow down!" When he saw that she was not planning on slowing down anytime soon, he sighed and quietly followed after her, trying to keep up with her fast pace.

Desrium worked down the food before him with guttral snarls. He was consuming a tray of freshly cooked meat, juicy and tender like a steak. He had stabbed into the slabs with a prong, knowledge that the object was a tool coming out of the wood work of his mind. He bit into the steaks and thrashed his head, ripping peices out of them until nothing remained, one after the other. It was when he was on his third steak did the vendor get wise to his actions. "Ey!" The skinny man said, a dirty apron covering his front. "What're you doing!? You've got to pay for those before you start eating! Whats the matter with you!?" He said in an angry spout, his face red and his hands balled up into fists. In an instant, the chef's anger turned into shock as he got a good look at the figure's armor and burning red eyes. Desrium looked to the man, half a steak hanging off of the prong and with a mouthful still in his mouth. He finished chewing, swallowed and stayed silent. Money, a concept Desrium wished he had learned before digging into the Chef's display. He was now staring at the merchant, who wasnt yelling at him anymore. Instead, he was hiding behind a counter in his stand, wondering how the strange figure managed to get into the city. Desrium glanced to the prong and then back to the man, his gaze shifting from either one a few times before he finally made an action. He bit off the rest of the steak, and with his voice muffled said "Thank you for your services...good sir" With that, he walked off. A distant thump was heard a few seconds later as the man fainted.

"...The other Subspecies was a slightly larger one, up to 150 feet, that had a several-inch tail spike and very low metabolism rate for their size... Plus, unlike the normal Orochi, this subspecies tended to be emerald green in nature, rather than the dull brown color of the normal orochi. So that explains a bit..." Dione said. She looked up at a large clock hanging up above the wall. By now, the servants in the castle would nearly be finished making lunch, and lunch wasn't something she wanted to skip out on...
