Trajan stood there, paralyzed in fear and horror. How could Jeetis, who he was certain was dead just yesterday, was truly alive and well? Dione herself had checked him and was certain that he was dead. Based on what the guards had told him, however, there was no other alternative he could think of. If it had been an impersonator, then the guards would have been able to realize that something wasn't right with how he appeared, or sounded. If it had been an illusion, then how did all three guards see the same thing? Deep in his heart, Trajan was happy that his old friend Jeetis was alive and well... But there were still two questions that confounded him... 1. WHy was he in the forest, and not in town, where people would be happy to see him alive and well? and secondly, should he tell Dione of this? There was always the thought that she would be very happy to know that her father was alive, but she had been completely certain that he was dead. More lkely than not, she would be convinced that smeone was pulling a prank, jut to lift her spirits up. In the end, Trajan decided to keep this a secret from Dione. "Don't tell ANYONE of what you three saw in the forest. If this knowledge got out to the people of Germania, and to DIone..." Trajan cut himself short purposely. The three guards and the servants nodded in unison. If that was what the Emperor wanted, then so it would be...
