Palin's a genuine idiot. I'm sure nobody heard about how when Katie Couric interviewed her? Well, yeah, she got interviewed and Katie asked what newspapers she would read regularly and to be specific. She bluffed off the question and later said Katie Couric "ambushed" her. She doesn't read any newspapers. She stays in her little corner of Alaska and somehow manages to find out the continental US politics without actually reading! She got pranked by two French comedians in Canada, honestly believing a world leader had just called her. :|

Honestly, if she becomes president in 2012, I'm moving to Canada. I'll join the comedians who pranked her, she's an idiot who also apparently tried to ban books.

Yes, if you haven't noticed, I absolutely despise Sarah Palin. I'm not a Democrat nor Republican, I just can take very low doses of her stupidity.

Palin will be the cause of the mayan's 2012 apocalyspe prediction. Her stupidity will drain the world's economy and ultimately cause world war 3.

And then using Facebook and Twitter to get out messages.. Because every great leader relies on such social networks to address a country (as well as making up words that aren't even words).

I shouldn't have gotten started. :P

I think the talk of Sarah Palin has been pretty much been beaten down. Instead, let us talk about the joys of snow. :D

LOL, apologies for the rant then. :P

One third of the population of the US is going to hate snow after this week. FEMA has issued a warning about this storm, as it'll probably be historic.

be grateful you HAVE snow. I have only seen real snow personally twice in my life. once when I went to the US on holiday, in Oregon. and the another time several years prior, when I was about 1-2 years old, in my grandparents' garden in North Yorkshire, England.

I never get to see snow at all, but I like the warmer environment down here in the South...

There's a lot of snow over here, and we're suppose to be getting around 10 inches tomorrow, and a storm coming Wednesday and Thursday. I just hope I don't have to go in to open the store on Wednesday. >_< The snow's been icky with work.

Snow... what a marvelous substance... a frozen state of water able to keep one from school if enough of it sticks to the ground... If only I had a creature that could create snow at a whim...

There's actually a guy in the state of Georgia who built a machine to make snow. No, seriously. 'Twas on TWC.

I'd take snow over freezing rain and sleet, or hail. Hail can kill you. Just imagine a baseball sized piece of ice going about the speed of a fastball pitch and slamming you on the back.

Freezing rain causes ice to form on the road, sleet causes little pellets of ice everywhere. Snow is a nuisance, but, generally, it's manageable.

EDIT: Both do actually hurt if it's coming down fast enough but neither can kill just because it's falling. I do newspapers in every kind of weather. Blizzard, snow, ice, rain, thunderstorm, thundersnow (yes, I heard thunder during a blizzard one time while outside, absolutely terrifying). It doesn't matter what's falling from the sky. I'm walking 3 blocks in it.

It's a completely different process. Hail is usually caused by a heavy updraft of a thunderstorm and it's moisture. The updraft I believe brings up crystals and begins rotating, and as it's rotating the ice builds up and gets bigger. Eventually the ice is too heavy to hold and falls. I don't know much about the storms there, but, I know that's what occurs in the states. (Hail formation is a little bit rusty; if anyone knows for sure, correct me if I'm wrong :P)

EDIT: oh wait, I realized my mistake. The moisture rising is cooling and crystallizes when it reaches above, it doesn't bring up crystals, the moisture just turns into crystals.

Snow, sleet, and freezing rain, are different processes.

see how Brits groan and complain about having grey weather all the time? we react the same way to sunny weather. all we ever get is sun or dust. dust sandblasts the paint off our cars, and sun is, on a good day, enough to KO your average European in under 3 hours of exposure. so yeah, I'd like some f***ing snow once in a while.

My bet is most of you [except for the ones who live in the southern regions where it's warmer] would probably pass out in half an hour out here in Summer :P. 52-60 degrees C by 10 AM, and it stays that way till around 5 PM...

right now it's rolling between 15 and 25 degrees C IIRC...

Hmmm... That doesn't seem too bad, if you ask me... I could handle 120+ degree weather for a few hours... makes for a GREAT tan...

Though, I perfer cooler air. It makes breathing alot easier.
