Steeltalon was creeping her way closer to an edmontosaur herd's nests. The adults were bellowing, focused on some other threat. She just prayed the wind would stay in her favor. Alone she couldnt hope to bring down an adult; but eggs and hatchlings were fair game....if she could get close enough. She just had to be quiet, patient, and not draw attention to her location.

Aircrest bared his teeth as he ripped his claws out from the tree bark and with a low snarl sent them flying back into it, scoring six lines in the wood and tearing apart the aged, dark green and brown surface. The jagged grooves left in the tree were fairly shallow and revealed the lighter colors that were once covered, a pale brown layer with spots where it was almost cream in color. Panting hard, Aircrest pulled his claws out again. His arms ached from pulling them down the tree, so decided to take a rest for now to regain his energy. He backed away from the tree a few feet before leaping up onto a low branch, landing on it with impeccable balance before laying on it, resting his chin on crossed wrists, feeling the muscles in his arms twitch.

Rook stood by the Barosaur corpse, ripping large chunks of flesh from it ravenously, the occasional rattling snarl coming from the predator in his shark-like feeding frenzy, the rich blue midday sky reflecting in a nearby pond, Microraptors leaping between the branches of nearby trees as a lone Archeopteryx, plumage decorated in rich streaks of dark blues, greens and scarlets, swooped down from a tree branch, pinning a young Compsognathus underfoot, head darting at the smaller creature's neck and twisting, killing it's prey instantly, as above, a large black and grey, Ornithocheirus streaked past, a large fish in it's toothed, orange and grey beak, having evidently just caught it from a nearby river, the pterosaur gliding towards a nearby rocky outcrop on a cliff face just beyond the treeline; the foot of one of the island's many mountains. the herbivores had long since left the area, and all that remained near the kill were the numerous species of predators that hungered for food, some of them having gone for as much as several days without a decent meal. for now, peace settled amongst the carnivores. but Rook had no doubt that once it started to show that there was less and less food to go round, fights would start to break out. he didn't care to stay around for the event. though at the rate he fed....he wouldn't need to...

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the island, Aurora stretched, cocking her head towards Xanthe curiously. "Where are the sub-adults we sent out yesterday? I noticed you left today. checked on them?" she inquired as she yawned, as the small feet of Blade could be felt scampering over her own, the female looking down to see Blade chasing after a grey dragonfly, which seemed a bit more than a little inept, swerving and slanting lazily through the air, probably an aged one, or at least, ill or injured...

Crusher stretched as he looked down at his kill. in the period between him finishing his meal and now, it felt as if all the food he had eaten had just disappeared, the weight of the food disappearing, leaving the Rex feeling energetic. for now, his hunger was satisfied, his mood pleasant....and his curiosity for the surroundings piqued. it was time to do some exploring. The young predator strode into the jungle, the emerald tint of the canopy turning his light grey and tan hide into a perfect blend of greens and browns, camouflaging him almost perfectly in the surroundings. and he was not alone. A troodon sat silently on a low lying branch, squashing itself as closely to the branch as possible, to avoid being seen, the young Rex silently arguing whether or not to scare the life out of the poor thing, eventually deciding against it, wanting to enjoy the peace of the forest around him. amidst the birdcalls and howling of monkeys in the treetops, a squeak sounded out, especially close overhead, Crusher glancing up as a Microraptor glided down from the tree branches, hitting the floor and bolting as fast as it's legs could carry it, an anurognathus on a nearby tree trunk staring wide-eyed at an iridescent blur swooped past, turning out to be an emerald and cyan dragonfly, the insectoid predator dashing through the air with a fierceness that reminded Crusher of the small, darting Raptors that roamed the world around him. in the trees, a silent hunter followed the young Rex, amber gaze watching him studiously, unusually interested in what he would do next...

Razorjaw knew that when the food ran out fighting amongst his fellow carnivores would ensue, that didn't really matter as he would probably be long gone by the time the big carnivores started brawling. It was in a way funny that under normal circumstances most of the creatures here would be at each other's throats but,for this relatively short time they would come together to eat in peace, aside from a few threats when one got near to another's eating spot but being (in some cases)starving carnivores that wasn't much of a surprise

Diablo, the scrawny rugops walked through the day, tracing the base of a large inland cliff, step after step, his stomach growled for a meal, anything to eat. He tried many things this day, dryosaurs, gallimimus, a small lizard on a tree branch, each attempt only met with failure. Diablo looked to the stone wall, studying the grooves and indents, he knew where he was going. For what he lacked in hunting skills, he made up for in knowledge of his hunting grounds. The rugops turned and stood at a point in the cliff. A large fracture divided the wall in two, splitting at the top completely, a sign of the island's volcanic and destructive beginnings. The fracture was wide enough at the base for Diablo to just barely slip through, and from there the narrow chasm only got wider. When there was enough space Diablo turned curled and laid down, he positioned his head on the ground, rotating it until it was comfortably settled in the dirt. The carnivore closed its weary, tired eyes, in his mind Diablo was assuring himself tomorrow would be different. Tomorrow he would find food, and eat his fill, finally satisfying his hunger.

The Rugops snapped weakly, the carnivore's hind legs thrashing about wildly, trying to inflict damage on Ba'al...

At the bottom of the river, Bias was slowly crawling along the bottom. Here, there was very little visibility, due to the massive cloud of mud and dirt floating around, but the Deinosuchus didn't need to see where he was going. Special pits lined up along the upper part of his jaw halped him smell his way through this murky section of the river. These pits are also found in the normal, more modern-day crocs of Isla Sorna, as well as the rest of the world. Not that Bias knew if this fact. All he cared about was patroling his territory...still unaware of the plastic keeping his mouth shut.

The female Dilophosaurus continued to watch as the female Barosaurus continued to lay their eggs. Those that finished laying their eggs early then, very carefully, used their hind legs to push dirt over the nests and bury the eggs. As she watched, the Dilophosaurus noticed a large Kaprosuchus fleeing from one nest, having been pushed out by a Barosaurus wanting to lay her eggs there. As she watched, the crocodile ran off into the forest...

Blackside and Monozu by now had finished their meal. The two carnivores rose up onto their legs, before they headed off, to head back toward their main area of staying. If they stayed here, they would run the risk of running into more predators. Better to head off somewhere else where there were fewer carnivores...

The kicks caused minor lacerations to Ba'al's chest, but he was otherwise unharmed by the Rugops' futile assault. With a final squeeze, the Tarbosaur's jaws tightened around the poor beast's neck befroe snapping its neck, killnig it....

Gothmog continued alongside his friend, watching him carefully...

"Yes actually," Xanthe replied. "I sent them on a hunting mission of sorts, to see if they could work well as a team and be a credit to their pack." He looked around. "Once the rest of the pack wakes I'm going to inform everyone how they did." Satisfaction crept into his tone as he remembered the size of the sub-adults' kill.

A small group of three young Mauisaurus swam along the bottum of the ocean, scavenging for food on the rocky ocean floor but to no avail. The Mauisaurus were about to give up when suddenly they came across a large pile of boulders swarming with crustaceans and small fish, they exchanged glances and without a second thought they swam to the free meal and started gluttonously eating to their hearts content. The leader of the group of Mauisaurus spotted a fish larger then the rest and dove for it growling at another Mauisaurus that spotted it making it very clear that as the leader of the group only he would get the best meal. But just as he reached it, it swam in a crack in the pile of rocks. He peeked into the hole, it was very deep and too dark to see inside, the Mauisaurus then stuck his head into the crack and spotted the fish but it was just out of reach, he tried stretching for it and biting at the fish while digging with his flippers. In the process he knocked over a large boulder and it rolled down the pile landing on a large flat black rock. Suddenly a loud crunching, tearing sound was heard from the hole the leader Mauisaurus was attacking. The other two Mauisaurus swam over to their now still leader and pushed him slightly in concern, his body then rolled over revealing his entire head, neck and all had been torn clean off. The two Mauisaurus stared in shock and suddenly the ground started to shake and a loud rumbling sound started coming from the rocks. The rocks on the top of the pile started tumbling down landing on one of the Mauisaurus and crushing his neck against the floor while his body flailed about, trying to free himself. Slowly the pile of rocks heaved into the air and the gigantic head and upper torso of a monsterous black Moa (Moa stands for Monster of Aramberri, its basically a Liopleurodon with a few minor differences but much larger) broke free from its rocky prison and glared down at the last Mauisaurus with its blank pearl white eyes, the Mauisaurus was still glued to the spot with shock. The gigantic 53.2 foot monster had a scar stretching from the top of its head down over its right eye all the way to its bottum jaw, its lower back teeth were abnormally large, and went over its upper lip tearing into the skin slightly, its whole body was covered in white scars and barnacles, and the flesh from the entire front of its left flipper had been torn clean off revealing the sharp clawlike bones. It let out a loud earth shaking roar and the Mauisaurus finially snapped out of his mesmerized state and swam away as fast as he could. The black monster quickly broke free of its prison and charged after the Mauisaurus, gaining on it. The Mauisaurus dashed for a small hole in the ocean floor but before he could reach it he heard a large tearing sound and everything went black. The triumphant monster let out a terrifying screaching roar and started feasting on his fresh meal, Deathmaw was free from his slumber at last.

(I hope I'm not too late to join the party, also I've read alot of the posts in here and havent noticed any other sea creatures, if there are any could someone pm me and tell me please, thanks)

as Crusher roamed, he noted the surrounding tree growth was starting to take on a strange look. birds were perched on strange, almost perfectly straight vines, going right through the trees and entering what at first glance seemed to be a large, heavily vine-covered tree trunk. the strange appearance of the vines were uniform, a whole line of them crossing his path, as he noticed a large stony rise in the ground, almost perfectly aligned with the vines and trunks. The Rex sniffed it curiously, shaking his head as a strange dusty scent reached his nostrils, unlike anything he had smelt from a plant or rock before. the spot he had scented was covered in large blotches of orange-red residue, the rust being a new thing to the Rex. the sounds of the forest weren't as loud here as they were elsewhere; a fact that unnerved the young Rex somewhat. overpowered by curiosity, the Rex pressed forward, stepping on the stony pedestal and continuing onwards on the other side, deeper into the jungle....and the unnatural quietness that seemed to loom ahead...

The female Allosaur smiled as she noted the Alpha's tone. "It's always a bit of a shock to watch youngsters take down their first kill together. Makes you wonder where time went" she growled, reminiscing of her own early days. "one day they're just fighting their way out of their shells," started Aurora as she curled her tail around Blade, pulling the youngster close to her. " And the next they're off bringing down prey for the pack. To think, one day, Blade and Cirrus will be working together to bring down a kill too" she finished, a curious chirp coming from Blade as he eyed his mother inquisitively, wondering what she was talking about...

The green and black raptor dropped out of the tree again, landing with a light patter on the soil, his body held in a crouch. His arms, tucked in close tingled slightly from his effort a short while ago. While it was unpleasant, he had a feeling it was a sign that he was pushing himself beyond what he was capable now. That was a good thing. A very good thing indeed. Standing up, the raptor turned to the bark, the torn up bark being a reminder of his effort. He pulled in a deep breath before letting out a grunt, slamming his claws into the tree trunk from the sides before tugging them around the width of the tree, bits of wood piling up amidst the plant's roots...

The raptors soon bring down the tenontosaurus, losing only one pack member, who was crushed by the being after being stunned by a rock falling from the massive boulder. They, in unision, drag the kill very slowly back to their territory. The good thing was that they weren't too far from their home this time. Sabre and Lightning bark out, calling their packmates in the cave to come assist them.

Eradicus keeps moving, but soon falls in the sand as he just reaches his home with Gothmog. He needed to rest...

As the female Dilophosaurus prepared herself to take an egg, a rustling of the underbrush to her sidecaused her to turn her head. To her horror, a pair of Deinonychus were eyeing her from the top of a large log. They were both males, about 16 feet long and 5 feet tall. Their entire bodies, sans their head and feet, were pitch black in color, while their hands and heads were bloodish red. They had also come for the eggs, but now... The female Dilophosaurus gave off a warning howl, but the raptors, undeerred, charged. The Dilophosaurus turned tail and ran into th forest, both carnivores right on her tail, leaving a herd of much confused Barosaurus to continue to lay their eggs and head back south...

As Bias moved along the bottom of the river, he looked up, noticing a large shadow above him.Perfect... a nice meal to fill him for several days... The crocodile began to move in for the kill, gaining speed with his powerful tail. Then, with a final burst, he charged... only for his still closed mouth to bump the swimming Hadrosaurus to the side. As the frightened herbivore swam as fast as it could to shore. Bias floated there, trying desperately to open his mouth. Why hadn't he been able to open his mouth for the kill? That was when he finally saw the tranparent plastic wrapped around the end of his mouth...

Further upriver, Moa and her offspring were swimming side by side. The young Hainosaurus stayed close by her mother's side only leaving to get gulps of air every few minutes. Moa looked down at her, before the sound of the underbrush thrashing caused her to look up. Her daughter also heard this and swam up to the surface to look...

Oblivion lifted herself from the shallow waters as she sighted a male of her own specias, and a younger Giganotosaurus. The pair seemed to be very reliant on one antoher, for while the Carcha rested, the smaller Giga stood watch. Droplets of water still falling off her reptillian body, Oblivion leaned back, opened her jaws to reveal serrated teah, and bellowed out across the small beach.

Eradicus' head rose as he heard the nose, before quickly responding with a roar. He looked in the direction of where the noise came from and quickly saw the source: a female carchar, on the beach near the edge of his territory...

Ba'al feasts on the corpse of the dead Rugops, blood staining his teeth and jaws, meaty chunks scattering the ground...

Gothmog's pupils shrunk when he heard the roar. oh no... if another preadtor came into Eradicus' territory now, there would be no way they could win! eradicus was hurt, and gothmog was too small to scare anything off. Soon, he spotted the owner of the roar: a good-sized Carcharodontosaur, and it was heading their way. Crouching low, Gothmog's eyes widen up and he lets out a menacing growl, standing before his friend like a guardian. If this carnosaur wanted to kill his friend, it'd have to go through him first...

Oblivion saw an almost immidiate response form the male Carcha, and responded with a series of shorter and more sharp bellows, makeing it clear to the male that she meant no harm. though she seemed a little surprised when the small Giga angrily stepped infront of the male Charcha, attempting to defend him. Oblivion found this very, very amuseing.
