James said "one more thing. we need to get the guard teams together, and sharpen our blades for the patrols...".

"We'll do it now then. Come, let's go back on our ships and gather them..." She started to walk toward her ship to gather her team together.

James said "but, i think we should have a system about how the guard rounds work. i'm taking the first round, Yuke the second, and you the 3rd, right? why not do it so that on the first round for each team, the whole team goes, and on the next round, one of them stays. the following round, the one who was absent in the second round would take the place of another team member on the 3rd round for each team, savvy?". when the other 2 agreed, they continued to the ships, which were in port back in the town.....
Once at the ships, James called the cabin boy and told him to call Gibbs, Rafael, Will and Nathaniel to him. when they arrived, James briefed them on what they should do. he said "now, as you already know, we have a night of merriment planned. the crew don't know yet, since we did all the preparations at the beach while the crew were in town. now, you are part of the first guard group on the ships, once we sail to the beach and anchor there. i've chosen you since you are seemingly the best swordsmen i know in the fleet, other than Yuke and Adeline. the reason i've taken you and not them is because they need to lead the second and third guard. the way it'll work is that each round we make, one of us takes a break. like, for example, on the first round all of us go, and the second, after Yuke and Adeline have done a round, one of us, either me, Rafael, Gibbs, Will or Nathaniel, will take a break, and skip a round, in a sense. during the round, we'll sort out who takes a break on the next round. i filled Yuke and Adeline in on this before we left the beach." is it understood?". the group nodded. Will and Gibbs were rather surprised. Jack was never this organised, so seeing his mirror image of a son having it all planned out like this was a bit of a shock.

Meanwhile......

Adeline gathered the men she was taking with her to guard and explained how everything was going to work. "Ok, it's going to work like this. After each round that we do, one of us we'll take a break. You got it?" She glanced at each of them. They looked at each other in confusement and shrugged. She sighed. "For example, we'll all go on the first round and after Yuke or James have done a round, one of us we'll take a break and skip a round. During our rounds, we'll sort out someway who takes a break on the next. Now is it all clear?"

They nodded their heads in a yes, but some of them still didn't fully get it. They'll just wait until it all starts.

She smiled. "Good. You're dismissed. Oh, and remember, keep it all secret from the crew, ok?" She winked at them and allowed them to go.

Adeline met up with James and Yuke, this time discussing about entertainment for the night. "Should it be the same as last time? A good old song and some musicians?"

James thought for a bit, then replied "well, i expect so...but how would we deal with the musicians?...you know what? i think we should organise to have all 3 of us taking a break from the guard groups together, so that while 2 of us are sitting there, the other one could take that part of the day as a break and that way we can enjoy it. my second round...i'll skip it and put Will in charge. why not you 2 do the same with your most trust worthy men on your second rounds? that way, we could have a nice long hour and a half chat or play the music for a large part of that time..."

"Ok then...good. There's one more thing though. Barbossa. We need to keep an eye on him." The undead monkey came at this point and started to walk all over the place.

James, out of slight annoyance at the monkey's movement toward the last of his chocolate milk powder, drew his double barrel gold pistol and shot it. the sho hit it in the side, and sent it flying and pinning it against the wall before dropping into a barrel of the Canada dry, which he "pursueded" the bar keeper to give him. "My Ale!" yelled James as he got over to the monkey, and pulled it out by the tail. Yuke was laughing his head off, since he had recently learned the hard way that fur flavoured Ale was terrible. the whole barrel was probably ruined. James opened the captain's cabin double doors and booted the monkey out. he closed the doors, and sat down, quietly grumbling about how all the worst things possible happen when that monkey is near him. after he recovered, he looked at Yuke and said "what do you think, Yuke?". he waited for Yuke's oppinion....

Adeline giggled and waited until the monkey was finally out of the room. She also waited for Yuke's response. When he didn't speak, she started to voice her opinon. "We should probably take Barbossa with us. To keep a better eye on him and all..."

James nodded "ok. each group that patrols takes him with them. this means i take him on the first patrol, perhaprs with a blindfold, to make sure he cant memorise our patrol patterns, and Yuke takes him with him on his patrol, and you on the third. after that, since we're all going to be taking a break, the second in command of our groups takes him. in my group's case, it'll be Will."

James thought for a bit, then said "i think tying his hands and legs up and letting him roll around on the deck of the Dauntless would be fitting...as long as we cage that bloody monkey. we don't want it eating away the ropes..."

Adeline chuckled at their ideas. "Yes, very fitting. But he may find a way to get himself out. Remember, he is a very experienced pirate. And the monkey...he should be securely locked. I say that we leave that thing locked in a cage in the quarters, and then you could lock up your quarters. The monkey can't escape that."

James looked at her as if she said something completely ridiculous, then yelled "what!? with my chocolate milk, gold, effects and rum!? never! :P ". Yuke nearly dropped to the floor with laughter.....

She rolled her eyes. "Ok, fine. Then I'll lock the monkey up on my ship in my quarters. Everything will be secure in there."

James smiled and said "thank you. now if you'll excuse me...". he got up from his seat, and called the cabin boy from across the deck. when he arrived, James asked him to fill a mug up with warm milk and bring it to him. the young Cabin boy nodded and shot off, soon returning with warm milk. James added the chocolate and continued the conversation.....

"You and that chocolate, James," commented Adeline with a smile and a shake of her head. "I think something might be in there that's effecting you. What would happen if we suddenly decide to take your supply of chocolate away? Of course, we would never do that...", she joked.

James smiled, then said "well, i'd chase you down, take it back, and send you the way of Nine Tails..." joked James. he knew that no matter what happened, nothing could make him do that to either one of his companions short of an outright mutiny...
