James said "but, i think we should have a system about how the guard rounds work. i'm taking the first round, Yuke the second, and you the 3rd, right? why not do it so that on the first round for each team, the whole team goes, and on the next round, one of them stays. the following round, the one who was absent in the second round would take the place of another team member on the 3rd round for each team, savvy?". when the other 2 agreed, they continued to the ships, which were in port back in the town.....
Once at the ships, James called the cabin boy and told him to call Gibbs, Rafael, Will and Nathaniel to him. when they arrived, James briefed them on what they should do. he said "now, as you already know, we have a night of merriment planned. the crew don't know yet, since we did all the preparations at the beach while the crew were in town. now, you are part of the first guard group on the ships, once we sail to the beach and anchor there. i've chosen you since you are seemingly the best swordsmen i know in the fleet, other than Yuke and Adeline. the reason i've taken you and not them is because they need to lead the second and third guard. the way it'll work is that each round we make, one of us takes a break. like, for example, on the first round all of us go, and the second, after Yuke and Adeline have done a round, one of us, either me, Rafael, Gibbs, Will or Nathaniel, will take a break, and skip a round, in a sense. during the round, we'll sort out who takes a break on the next round. i filled Yuke and Adeline in on this before we left the beach." is it understood?". the group nodded. Will and Gibbs were rather surprised. Jack was never this organised, so seeing his mirror image of a son having it all planned out like this was a bit of a shock.
Meanwhile......
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
