Rebin found what he was looking at to be grotesque and horrible. He didn't like what he saw, not one bit. "Looks like someone wasn't happy with the place... and half the people here... and their arms and legs." He said in a half-joking manner, taking note mentally of what he was seeing... it was almost nightmarish.

What was left in the room didn't seem to really draw Yukari's attention, aside from the photo, which she looked at for a brief moment before turning to leave the place. She felt a pang of remorse and sorrow for the lady there. Her husband, dead here in an unknown world and by zombies. Yukari made a silent prayer that neither she or whoever she married in the future suffered such a fate. Leaving the room, she continued to follow the blood trail, though with extreme caution... If there were still zombies here...

Damian took in everything he saw very seriously. The entire room had been, essentially, torn to peices. It was, quite simply, a mess. The corpses, strangely enough, did not seem to have any blood aroudn them, which compeltely baffled Damian. The bear of a man soon approached one of the corpses, and soon saw the strange, sludge-like substance that stained their bodies.

"Strange," Damian commented as he scanned the corpse for matches with the sludge. The APC could not find anything like it that was known to man. "These corpses don't have any blood on them. Instead, they have this wierd goopy ****."

Damian stepped away form the corpse. They had spent enough time in this room. Shining his light into a deeper hallway, Damian spoke to Rebin.

"Let's keep going. I don't want Yukari to get herself trapped in this shithole without some backup."

Felicity's lateral engines swung around, belching its exhaust at an angle ahead of it, slowing the craft down and angling its nose upwards. The landing gear swung out from underneath and the craft eased its way to the ground, the grass blowing wildly beneath it.

The orange and black craft bobbed upon its landing, settled then extended its defense pylons, the film of energies flickering into existence between the metal beams. Its turrets extended and locked into place, panning the skies for threats...

...while its pilot headed into its utility room. His inner sanctum...

A low boom shook the facility as another fuel tank exploded on the room, the building seeming to rumble as the fire raged above. Despite its sturdy architecture and high-tech materials, it had begun to show signs of strain. While no hint of smoke seemed to reach the lower floors, and the base seemed very sturdy from below, there was no doubt that the walls were starting to crack on the roof.

The bloodied hallways got more and more damaged and blood-spattered as Yukari went, the path winding round again and opening up into a warehouse at the Eastern face of the facility. Three trucks were parked here, all looking like they had more in common with moon rovers than common road vehicles. Wide flat hubs covered the walls of the vehicle's wheels, and jagged off-road treads could be seen on the surface of the tire that would be in touch with the ground. One of the vehicles was on a jack, its front wheels both missing, undoubtedly having been in the middle of maintenence or repairs. the other was rammed into the entrance to the warehouse, the hard, thick barrier faintly dented from the collision, the vehicle's front end crushed inwards, the cabin where the driver would sit less than half its original size, blood having leaked down the doorway, which suffered the same gashes seen on the walls elsewhere in the facility. the third vehicle seemed intact, though its engine was being held up by a chain attached to a crane attached to the ceiling, running on rails. the silhouette of what looked like a person seemed pressed against the glass of the crane, though it was in a position that suggested the person was either unconscious or dead, seeming somewhat slack and in an awkward position. Several bodies could be seen littering the facility, some severely mutilated, torn in half, disembowelled, beheaded and crushed, some by their own equipment, others by unknown means. a handful of them had the sludge-like substance on them, but a few seemed completely clean...

The corridor ahead of Rebin and Damian was mostly clear if not for some odd gashes in the walls, seemingly caused by a powerful blade-like object, one of the doors to their right split into four chunks, though the centre of the doorway had melted away thoroughly, leaving a gaping hole where it had been. Inside, drained, exhausted breaths could be heard, seemingly gasping, but not quite powerful enough to be called such. Whoever was making it was seriously injured. "H....help....please" came a breathless voice, barely there...

"There's a survivor here! Maybe he knows what happened here." Rebin said, more to himself than to Damian, his gun at the ready incase of an ambush as he looked over at him to see what he thought. he remembered back when he used to watch horror movies alot, how there always seemed to be one survivor of any massacre...

Yukari, on the other hand, was taking in what she saw. This was... this was horrific and like something out of a nightmare. It didn't make any sense to her either. Why were a few of the bodies both bloodless and with no sludge? Were there no survivors here? Surely, a group of highly advanced Nazis could have been able to hold off a simple zombie assault... but from what she had seen from the aftermath of the attack, this was no mere zombie attack...

Damian nodded to Rebin, before he said, "Keep watch. I don't want us to get ambushed."

Damian soon entered the crack, and flashed his ligth in the direction of the breathing.

"Hello?" Damian said. "Who's in here?"

What the flashlight revealed was no mere person. It's face had been dissolved, and in its place was a distorted version of a human's skull, remains of hair and skin still visible on the sides of the face and around the back, the jaws seeming to have partially elongated, the teeth narrowing to a blunt point. sickly watery yellow eyes stared back at Damian as the man, or thing, raised a hand up towards him pleadingly. The hand that extended forward had seemed to have partially dissolved, bony and burnt, as if exposed to extremely corrosive acid. the uniform and gloves the soldier would have been wearing were badly damaged, the extended hand lacking a glove entirely, the sleeve tattered, as was most of the armour, which was covered in the blackened liquid. the corpse shuffled forward, wheezing gasps coming from it as it pleaded. "Kill me...Oh God...please....KILL ME" begged the mangled man, apparently still alive, though obviously in agony, the sludge writhing and churning along the surface of skin and armour alike, beginning to pool along one of the arms as he raised it, as if preparing for something...

"Pssst...Over here fraulein...qvickly!" hissed a man's voice a few metres away from Yukari, closer inspection revealing it to be one of the soldiers, shockingly, still intact, alive and very much aware, a heavy assault rifle in his hand, the grey and black weapon revealing itself to have 6 barrels in a minigun-like configuration, a grenade launcher extending over the barrels. He was dressed in black and red armour, with a hat befitting a high ranking officer, a red band on his arm, though the Swastika of the Nazi party was nowhere to be seen. His hair and face were obscured by a gas mask, its glowing golden-yellow lenses staring back at Yukari despite the darkness, the man's eyes unseen beneath the reflective surface...

Rebin took one look at the man, and quickly turned away, nearly wanting to vomit. What had happened to him?! This... this was worst than anything he had ever seen...

Yukari looked at the man as she came closer. A survivor... at last. But... he seemed to be in good health, while everyone else here... "What happened here? What attacked this place?" she asked, curious as to just what exactly happened... and who was this guy?

Damian's eyes widened as he saw the hideous monster befroe him. Oh, god... was this... this THING a human once? Considering how it was calling out to him for a mercy kill, he couldn't help but think that this was the case. Noting the tight quarters of the room, Damian quickly leveled his new revolver, before he fired a shot right at the monster's elbow, blowing the limb clean in half. Damian then leveled his revolver, aiming for the beast's face.

"Get your *** in here!" Damian shouted to Rebin as he did this action...

The corpse groaned as it lunged at Damian, the sludge spilling from the hole that had once been the man's nose, and from between its teeth, its jaws parting as it tried to take a bite out of Damian, intending on leaving an open wound for the liquid to worm into, to do to him what it had done to the unfortunate man that now found himself in this waking nightmare...

"Later! If you vant to get out of here alive, move! Qvickly!" hissed the man as quietly as he could manage while still being heard by Yukari, just as a series of gurgling wheezes and groans began to break out around the room, one of the visible corpses shifting as it seemed to try to rise to its feet, others no doubt doing the same...

The thing didn't get the chance to bite, as a plasma bullet blasted the corpse's head open, causing fragments of skull to be sent flying and vaporizing the slime, Rebin lowering the gun as he walked in... "Well, you wanted me in here..." He said, rather disturbed by the... thing he had just killed...

Yukari's seemed calm and collected on the outside, but in her mind, she knew this was bad. Zombies... better to follow the guy, in that case. She hurried to follow him, gun ready to fire at any zombies that got too close...

Damian shot Rebin a nod, before he turned to leave the room, scanning the area to find Yukari's signal. That suit of hers had to have some sort of homing beacon so she wouldn't get lost.

"We need to move. NOW," Damian said. "I can see several unknown lifeforms in the general vacinity.... and Yukari is near them."

Damain began to break into a sprint, holstering his grenade launcher and keeping his plasma revovler at the ready...

The man took aim as several of the corpses rose, a whirring sound being heard as his weapon wound up, before a rapid stream of bullets was unleashed, tearing one of the corpses clean in half from the sheer number of rounds, leaving a trail of bullet holes behind the monstrosity as a series of screaming cries of pain and agony came from the corpses, many seeming to plead for death, the soldier obliging as round after round tore through them, most often through the head and neck; the seat of a being's consciousness. Many of the corpses did not die from the injuries, but at least the victims trapped within the decayed corpses were freed...

A groan could be heard up ahead as Rebin and Damian closed in on Yukari's position, three of the sludge-covered corpses shuffling into the hallway from the garage...

Damian scanned the hall, finding the 3 sludge covered udnead as they emerged from the nearby garage. The scanner also picked up Yukari's location. Unfortunately, she was a lot farther away from them than he had hoped. Fortunately, this meant he could blow these ******** to hell with his trusty old friend....

Swinging his Grenade launcher to his hip, Damian soon fired the deadly payload down the hall, sticking it to one of the zombies down the hall.

"Surprise, motherfuckers," Damian growled, as an explosion rocked the hallway, a plume of slames and smoke shooting out from the small space, obliterating the hapless undead and destroying much of the eldritch goop that covered their forms....

Bringing out her handgun, Yukari followed the man, while also firing it at the undead, aimed primarily for the head, tearing through their skulls...

Likewise, Rebin was also quick to fire, launching a single plasma bolt at the same time Damian had fired the grenade. The plasma bullet exploded against a zombie's head, blasting it apart in all directions while vaporizing the gunk on it. "You know, if we weren't here to rescue Yukari, I'd be okay with getting up somewhere these zombies couldn't get to and see how long I could keep killing them..." He joked, trying to lighten up the mood abit, but the look on his face reflected the situation as it was...

Halfway through Rebin's comment, a door was smashed apart beside him, one of the corpses lunging right for him, covered in the slime, as meanwhile the noise of the explosions and gunfire drew more zombies to the scene, gurgling, wheezing moans coming from the monstrosities...

"Your friends are on zeir own. Ve cannot risk vaiting for zem. Tell zem to head back out of ze building. I vill try to find us a vay out" said the soldier as he stepped back through a doorway, pulling Yukari with him, hydraulic arms driving the doors shut just as one of the living corpses lunged at them, its hand being severed by the door as it was sealed, the soldier going back down a corridor, which led to a T section...

The moment the zombie appeared, it was blasted back by a plasma bullet to the chest, the undead's torso cauterized by the projectile as he kept moving. " Eh, scratch what I said. Let's do this as fast as we ca-"

"Rebin, Damian, can you hear me?" A voice called out into their helmets. Rebin recognized it as Yukari. "Yukari, where the hell are yo-"

" I found a survivor here. Head back outside, you two. we'll be there shortly." Yukari's voice came over, and then, the link was cut off. Rebin now felt half-reliefed, half angry. So she was off having fun, while both he and Damian were hording off zombies... Great. Just... great.

Turning the comm link off, Yukari looked down both directions. "So.. which way?" She asked....

"Well? Do you want ot head back out, or woudl you rather try and find them?" Damian said, keeping his wits abotu him. He didn't want to get ambushed in this hell hole. Who KNEW how many of those udnead creatures there were....

But, there was more than zombies lurking in the shadows of the facility. An old 'friend' of the trio was not far behind...

"Zis vay" said the man as he went left, not even breaking stride as he made his way towards a stairway only a few feet away. Unlike the rest of the base, this area seemed almost pristine. If it were not for the sounds of the corpses outside, the smell of smoke or the distant roar of flames on the roof, one would not know the base had been overrun. "Ve have to be qvick. Zose sings are not ze biggest danger here" he added...

Rebin thought about this choice. From the sound of things, Yukari seemed to be in safe hands at the moment, so perhaps the best course of action was to head back to the entrance and wait... but what if both her and her new buddy got cornered and needed help? But then again, for someone to survive this kind of an assault... "Let's head back to the entrance and wait for them. Yukari seems to be safe for the moment, and whoever she's with seems to know what they're doing." He said...

Yukari raised an eyebrow as she followed the man. If those zombies weren't the biggest thing to worry about... then she didn't want to know what was.
