A low boom shook the facility as another fuel tank exploded on the room, the building seeming to rumble as the fire raged above. Despite its sturdy architecture and high-tech materials, it had begun to show signs of strain. While no hint of smoke seemed to reach the lower floors, and the base seemed very sturdy from below, there was no doubt that the walls were starting to crack on the roof.
The bloodied hallways got more and more damaged and blood-spattered as Yukari went, the path winding round again and opening up into a warehouse at the Eastern face of the facility. Three trucks were parked here, all looking like they had more in common with moon rovers than common road vehicles. Wide flat hubs covered the walls of the vehicle's wheels, and jagged off-road treads could be seen on the surface of the tire that would be in touch with the ground. One of the vehicles was on a jack, its front wheels both missing, undoubtedly having been in the middle of maintenence or repairs. the other was rammed into the entrance to the warehouse, the hard, thick barrier faintly dented from the collision, the vehicle's front end crushed inwards, the cabin where the driver would sit less than half its original size, blood having leaked down the doorway, which suffered the same gashes seen on the walls elsewhere in the facility. the third vehicle seemed intact, though its engine was being held up by a chain attached to a crane attached to the ceiling, running on rails. the silhouette of what looked like a person seemed pressed against the glass of the crane, though it was in a position that suggested the person was either unconscious or dead, seeming somewhat slack and in an awkward position. Several bodies could be seen littering the facility, some severely mutilated, torn in half, disembowelled, beheaded and crushed, some by their own equipment, others by unknown means. a handful of them had the sludge-like substance on them, but a few seemed completely clean...
The corridor ahead of Rebin and Damian was mostly clear if not for some odd gashes in the walls, seemingly caused by a powerful blade-like object, one of the doors to their right split into four chunks, though the centre of the doorway had melted away thoroughly, leaving a gaping hole where it had been. Inside, drained, exhausted breaths could be heard, seemingly gasping, but not quite powerful enough to be called such. Whoever was making it was seriously injured. "H....help....please" came a breathless voice, barely there...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
